Major
assembly of 200 "Giants" - i.e. costumes with huge masks from France
(Nord-pas de Calais, Seine maritime, Hérault, Bouches du
Rhône) and Europe (England, Belgium, Spain, etc.) to celebrate
the rebirth of the Lille giants, Lydéric and Phinaert.
The thousand years of Lille's pas will be retraced via frescos by the artist François Boucq, a renowned cartoonist from Lille. The giants and the music will cross the ages, using the century gates to arrive at the "Champ de Mars". |
